Juneteenth Celebration
Saturday, June 20th, 2026
11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
@ Ivers Square – Downtown Cape Girardeau
Come on out to Ivers Square at 11am and celebrate Juneteenth with your community! Juneteenth is a day that commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. This took place on June 19, 1865, the date in which enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, finally received the news they were free.
This free and family-friendly event will feature artisanal craft vendors, social service organizations, food vendors, door prizes, and a kid area! Lastly, at 1 pm the live musical entertainment begins!
