National Hop-A-Park Day, celebrated on the first Saturday in July, invites us to celebrate Cape Girardeau’s amazing parks and historical landmarks, each with its own stories and community traditions. Capaha Park is one of the oldest parks in Cape, dating back to the late 1800s. Here, visitors can often be seen strolling along its pathways, skipping stones across the pond, and being mindful of the geese.
